MHRSD endorses the SEHA stage to manage sick leave of workers outside KSA.

The ministry also explained how employees from outside the Kingdom can submit sick leave requests. As a result, the employee must obtain a sick leave report from an accredited health authority outside the Kingdom. He must then have it attested by the Saudi diplomatic mission in the respective country before sending it to his workplace in either paper or electronic format.
Following that, the employee's company must upload the sick leave report to the SEHA platform in accordance with the procedures and regulations outlined in the regulatory framework for taking sick leave. Before informing the employee, the firm must complete the automated procedures by referring the leave to the General Medical Authority for approval and performing the necessary follow-up work.
It's worth noting that the Ministry of Health launched SEHA as an e-health app in 2018 to allow people to have face-to-face visual medical consultations with their doctors on their smartphones. The MHRSD and MoH have made the necessary updates to the SEHA platform to handle sick leave reports from abroad.
